TGT (English):
English as an Honours / Pass / Elective / Major / Special Subject at Graduation Level.
II. TGT (Odia):
Odia as an Honours / Pass / Elective / Major / Special Subject at Graduation Level.
III. TGT (Social Studies):
One must have a subject in B.A. in any 01 of the following 04 subject: History , Geography, Pol. Sc. &
Economics. In addition he should have 01 more subject out of the following 08 subjects: History, Geography,
Economics, Pol. Sc., Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, Landmark in Indian History as Honours
/Elective/ Pass.
IV. TGT (Mathematics):
Bachelor Degree in Science with at least 200 marks in Math as a subject with any two of the following
subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Statistics.
OR
B. Tech / B.E Degree with 200 marks in Math and any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry,
Computer Science, Computer Application, Statistics.
V. TGT (Science):
Bachelor Degree in Science having any three subjects out of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology,
Chemistry, Bio-Technology and Life-Science.
VI. TGT (Hindi):
i. Bachelor degree in Arts with Hindi as Honours subject.
AND
Hindi Teacher Training certificate course (BH. Ed.) Conducted by the Hindi Teachers’ Training Institute,
Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, Hindi Sikhyan Parangata from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra and B.Ed. in
Hindi. (A course prescribed by NCTE from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras an institution recognized by
NCTE & affiliation to a recognized university) will be considered as training qualification.
OR
ii. BA with Honours in any subject with Hindi as a subject for all three years.

v. BA with Honours in any subject with Snataka (Acquired by June, 2005, the date up to which

AND
Hindi Teacher Training certificate course (BH. Ed.) conducted by the Hindi Teachers’ Training Institute,
Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, Hindi Sikhyan Parangata from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra and B.Ed. in
Hindi. (A course prescribed by NCTE from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras an institution recognized by
NCTE & affiliation to a recognized university) will be considered as training qualification.
OR
vi. BA with Honours in any subject with equivalent degree in Hindi from recognized institution /
University.
AND

Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, Hindi Sikhyan Parangata from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra and B.Ed. in

NCTE & affiliation to a recognized university) will be considered as training qualification.
Proficiency in teaching in Odia and English Medium
VII. TGT (Sanskrit):
(i) Bachelor Degree in Arts with Sanskrit as Honors Subject OR Shastri (Sanskrit) with 50% in aggregate (45%
for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) a course prescribed by NCTE from recognised University.
AND
Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE from a recognized university/institution recognized by
NCTE and affiliated to a recognized university will be considered as training qualification. (The B.Ed. qualification
which is applicable for other TGTs is not applicable for TGT (Sanskrit))
(ii) Proficiency in teaching in Odia and English medium.
PGTs Qualification:
I. PGT (English) - English
II. PGT (Math) – Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
III. PGT (Physics)- Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics.
IV. PGT (Chemistry) – Chemistry/ Bio. Chemistry
V. PGT (Biology) – Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Bio Science/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/ Bio
Technology/Molecular Bio/ Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at
Graduation Level.
&
Bachelor Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by
NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
VI. PGT (Commerce):-
Master Degree in Commerce from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate
(45% for SC/ ST/ PH/SEBC candidates). However, the holder of degree in M.Com. in Applied /
Business Economics shall not be eligible.
&
Bachelor Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by
NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
VII. PGT (Economics)-
Master Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics from a recognized
university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates).
&
Bachelor Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by
NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
VII. PGT (Computer Science)-
At least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) in any of the following:
B.E. or B. Tech (Computer Science /IT) from a recognized University.
or
B.E. or B. Tech (any stream) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from recognized University.
or
M. Sc (Computer Science/ Information Technology) /MCA from a recognized University.
or
"B" Level from DOEACC / NIELIT and Post Graduate degree in any subject from a recognized University.
