Today India has more than 13,25,000 active army. And there are more than 12,00,000 reserve army personnel. In this article, we will learn about the different ranks of the army and their different salaries.

Tell about the rank of Indian Army Officer, then the rank of Indian Army Officer is classified into 3 categories. The one who comes first is the Commissioner Officer, which is equivalent to Group A. The second number comes Junior Commissioner Officer, which is similar to Group B. And the third number comes Non Commissioner Officer, which is other rank. 

1- Non Commissioner Officer 

So first we will know about the people Non Commissioner Officer. The smallest post inside a Non Commissioner Officer is that of the soldier. And there will be no star or anything on his solder to identify the soldier. His shoulder will remain plane.

Talking about his salary, his pay scale is found in ₹ 5200 - ₹ 20,200. And his grade is ₹ 1800, and army service gets ₹ 2000. His total in hand cash is ₹25,000.

Lance Naik

The post above it is Lance Naik. To identify them, you will get to see a red and yellow colored V sharp on their shoulder.

Talking about his salary, his pay scale is ₹ 5200- ₹ 20200, grade pay is ₹ 2000, his army service pay is ₹ 2000. And how is their total in hand on ₹ 30000.

Naik

Subedar

Above this is the post of the Subedar. To identify, 2 golden color stars ,red and a yellow color stripe also seen. Their service is up to 30 years. Their pay scale is from ₹ 9300 to ₹ 34800. Grade pay is ₹ 4600, army service pay is ₹ 2000. His total in hand cash is ₹ 50000.

Subedar Major

The post above is Subedar Major. The biggest post of Junior Commissioner Officer rank is Subedar Major. To identify it, you get to see an Ashoka emblem as well as a strip of red and yellow colors. And the service they do lasts for 34 years.

Their salary, basic pay is ₹ 9200- ₹ 34800, grade pay ₹ 4800, army service pay ₹ 2000. His total in hand case is ₹65,000.

 3 - Commissioner Officer

 Lieutenant

Now let's talk about the commissioner officer. The smallest post inside the commission officer rank is lieutenant. To recognize the lieutenant officer, you will get to see 2 golden colored stars on his shoulder. And it is also called YO i.e. young officers. Because when they remain in training after clearing NDA and CDS exams, they are given this post after completing the training. That is why he is called YO Officer i.e. Yoga Officer.

Talking about his salary, he gets ₹ 15,600 to ₹ 39,100. Grade Pay ₹ 5400, Army Service Pay ₹ 6000. And their total in hand case is ₹68,000.

Captain 

The post above that comes Captain, which is the 8th highest rank of the Commissioner's Office Repost. And to identify them, you get to see 3 golden colored stars on their shoulders. A commissioned officer becomes captain after 2 years from lieutenant. A captain's pay scale is ₹15,600- ₹39,100. Grade pay ₹6100. Army service pay ₹6000. His total in hand case is ₹75,000.

Major 

Above that is the post of Major. To recognize Major, an Ashok Emblem is seen on his solder. A commissioner officer has to serve 6 years to become Major from Captain. And have to clear Part B exam. Major's pay scale is ₹ 15600 to ₹ 39100. And their grade pay is ₹ 6600, army service ₹ 6000. Total in hand case is ₹ 100000.

Lieutenant Colonel 

Above that comes the lieutenant colonel. To become a lieutenant colonel, you need 13 years of service. To recognize Lt Col, you will get to see a star and an Ashok emblem on his solder. To become Lt Col, one has to serve 13 years and clear Part D exam. And he gets a pay scale of ₹ 37,400 From ₹ 67000. And ₹ 8000 at Gate, ₹ 6000 on Army Service. His total in hand case is ₹ 1,12,000.

The thing about all the four commissioned officer ranks is a time scale rank. That is, after you have served for a certain time, you are given this rank. That is, this rank is given in your promotion.

Colonel

The next post comes under the selection grade. That is, to get the above post, it is considered including different courses and merit and annual confidence report.

So the first one comes under the selection grade is Colonel. You get to see an Ashok emblem and 2 stars to identify the colonel. And to become a Cornell, you need 15 years of commissioner service. And you can do this service till 54 years of age. Colonel is the 5th highest officer rank. Colonel gets pay scale ₹ 37400 - ₹ 67000. Grade pay ₹ 8700, Army service pays ₹ 6000. Brigadier

The above post of Colonel is Brigadier. Brigadier is the fourth highest rank in the Indian Army. To identify these, you get to see an Asoka Emblem and three states on their solder. And there is a 1 star rank which is applied in the collar of their uniform. To become a Brigadier, you have to serve within the Commissioner Officer for 26 years. And a brigadier can serve for 56 years.

The pay scale of a Brigadier ranges from ₹ 37400 to ₹ 67000. Grade pay is ₹ 8900. Army service pay ₹ 6000. Their total in hand case is ₹ 350000.

Major General

The post above it is Major General. Major General is the third highest commissioned officer rank within the Indian Army officer rank. To identify the Major General, you will get to see 1 star and a cross of a sword and a stick, on their solder. There is a 2 star which is put in the collar of their uniform. To become a Major General, you have to serve 32 years and they can serve for 58 years.

A Major General gets a pay scale from ₹ 37400 to ₹ 67000. Grade pay is ₹ 10000, his army pay service is not given. How is his total in hand ₹ 400000.

Lieutenant General

Above this is the post of lieutenant general. The lieutenant is the 2nd highest rank in the general Indian commissioner officer rank. Recognizing them, you get to see an Ashoka Emblem and a cross symbol of a sword and a stick. And this is a 3 star in the collar of their uniform. To become a lieutenant colonel, you need to have 36 years of service. And they can do this service for 60 years.

The job pay scale of a lieutenant general is ₹ 67000 - ₹ 79000. Their grade pay is not given and army pay service is also not available. Because of this, how is his total in hand ₹ 4,50,000.

General

The post above that is that of General, which is the highest rank of the Indian Army Service. To identify them, the Ashok Emblem, a golden star along with a cross symbol of a sword and a stick can be seen on their solder. And a 4 star which is applied in the collar of his uniform. A general gets service for 3 years. They can do this service till 62 years.

A general gets a pay scale of ₹ 90000 and he does not get grade pay or army service. How do they get total in hand from 5 lakh to 6 lakh.

Field Marshal

There is a another rank above these ranks, that is the field marshal rank. In such a situation, the highest rank of an Indian Army officer is General. But this rank is given as an honor to someone. As if their highest performance in a war and their leadership has won the war, then only they are respected. And so far in India this rank has been given to only two people. Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa & Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Both of them have been given this rank.
